The first quarter profit sharing payout per eligible hour is $12.50. This means max payout of $10.00 and $2.50 goes into the profit sharing bank.

Annual Retiree's Dinner
USW Local 4950 is hosting the annual Steelworkers Retirees' Dinner on May 12 at E.H. Ronn Hall. We are in need of door prize donations, if you could help. Meeting Date Change
The excutive board will be in Duluth Minn. from May 7th thru May 10th for contract negotiation prep. The regular monthly meeting has been changed to May 15th.

Subject Matter Expert
Subject Matter Expert (SME) is a training position that will do the hands on training within departments. We have an agreement with the company as to how these positions will be filled.
Now that shift and area is complete a polling will take place to fill the SME positions.
If you are interested in being a SME trainer the first step is to sign up on the polling sheet.

Nominations meeting will be at our March monthly meeting, Voting will take place in April and elected officers take office in May.

Yes our web site is up and running.
As the events unfold with the news about the production cutback at Empire for 2012 we'll keep you informed with all the information as we get it.
We were informed the Empire will run as is until June 1st and then shutdown. Restart on October 15th. With the Empire budjeted tons at 2.7 million and the Tilden at 7.6 million tons.
At this time we do not know what the man-power requirements will be to support the Tilden operation.
We will be meeting with the company in January.
